My expression lines were getting deeper. I first bought an inexpensive micro-current device because my budget was limited, and honestly, I thought they all worked pretty much the same. After using it consistently for over a month without seeing the improvement I hoped for, I started researching other options.

That search led me to NuFACE. I wanted a recognized brand with plenty of customer reviews, and I was especially interested in seeing real NuFACE Trinity results.

I chose the Trinity+ Complete because it felt like a more complete system, with the main microcurrent device, a targeted attachment for the eye and lip areas, and a red light attachment. I purchased it myself, so this isn’t a sponsored review. I’ll share how I use each part, what I’ve personally noticed, and what my experience has really been so far.

What’s Included in the NuFACE Trinity+ Complete

The NuFACE Trinity+ Complete comes with the main Trinity+ micro-current device, an eye and lip attachment, and a red light attachment. It also includes a charging cable, but one detail to know before you open the box is that my kit did not include a wall charging adapter.

The kit also comes with two skincare products: the Hydrating Aqua Gel Activator (1.69 fl oz / 50 mL) and the Firming + Brightening Silk Crème (0.50 fl oz / 15 mL). An applicator brush is included too.

The Aqua Gel Activator is the wider bottle, and I actually like the way it dispenses. You press down on the top and the gel comes up, so there’s no need to squeeze or pour anything out. I use the included brush to spread the gel over my face instead of applying it with my hands.

My First Impressions

The first thing I noticed when I picked up the Trinity+ was its weight. It felt solid in my hand.

The manual included a QR code for the NuFACE app, so I scanned it and selected my device. I could then follow guided tutorials for different treatments, watching each movement and doing it on my own face at the same time. That made learning the basic technique much easier for me.

Changing the attachments was simple too. They connect magnetically, so I can remove one and put another in place in just a few seconds. During my first sessions, I could feel a mild tingling from the microcurrent, but I didn’t find it uncomfortable.

I also learned that the conductive gel can start drying while I’m using the device. When that happens, I add a little more. I sometimes use the NuFACE Supercharged IonPlex Mist (5.0 fl oz / 150 mL) to dampen my skin again. I bought the mist separately; it isn’t included with the Trinity+ Complete kit.

How I Use the NuFACE Trinity+ (My Routine)

Frequency and Session Length

I currently use my Trinity+ about three times a week. I’d like to use it more often, but finding time for the full routine isn’t always easy. Three times a week is what I can realistically fit into my schedule.

Using the Red Light Attachment

I start with the red light attachment on clean, dry skin before applying any conductive product. NuFACE’s instructions for the Trinity+ Complete also place this step before the Micro-current Activator and micro-current portion of the routine.

Using the Micro-current Device

Next, I switch to the larger microcurrent attachment with the two spheres. I work on one side of my face at a time and apply the Hydrating Aqua Gel Activator with the included brush as I go. This works better for me than covering my entire face at once because the gel can start drying during a session.

On my forehead, I start near the center and move slowly upward and outward toward my hairline and temple. I follow about three paths and repeat each sequence three times.

Then I move to my cheek, chin, and jaw. I start around the chin and move toward the ear, gradually working higher across my cheek toward the temple. Again, my movements are slow.

For my neck, I work upward from around the clavicle toward my jawline. I personally don’t pass the device over the front-center area of my neck. I also follow my jawline from my chin toward my ear before repeating the routine on the other side of my face.

Using the Eye and Lip Attachment

Once I’m finished with the larger attachment, I switch to the smaller eye and lip attachment. Around my eyes, I work gently from the inner area outward underneath the eye.

Around my mouth, I focus on my nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Here I don’t continuously drag the attachment. I use more of a slow “walking” motion: place it, move a little, place it again, and gradually work along the expression line.

NuFACE Trinity Results — What I Actually Noticed

I bought my Trinity+ Complete in April and have generally used it two to three times a week. The changes weren’t immediate. It took around two months before I started noticing a difference, and what I’ve seen has been gradual rather than dramatic.

Skin Texture and Tone

This is probably where I’ve noticed the biggest change. My skin used to feel quite dry when I woke up, and now I don’t notice that dryness as much.

I also had visible pores and an uneven texture that reminded me of orange peel, with little indentations that were easy to see. That texture hasn’t completely disappeared, but to me it looks less noticeable now.

Firmness and Contour

My expression lines are still there. What I’ve noticed is that they don’t look as deeply marked as they did before. They seem softer and a little more filled in, which was one of the changes I was hoping to see when I first started using the device.

Eye and Lip Area — ELE Attachment Results

I use the eye and lip attachment every time I do my full routine. But I also use the main microcurrent attachment and the red light attachment during those same sessions.

Because I use everything together, I can’t honestly separate the results and say, “This change came from the eye and lip attachment.” I simply don’t know.

Red Light Attachment Results

The same applies to the red light attachment. I use it consistently as part of my complete routine, not as a separate treatment. For that reason, I can’t attribute a particular change to red light alone.

What I can say about my NuFACE Trinity results is that after using the complete routine consistently, I’ve personally noticed softer-looking expression lines, less morning dryness, and an improvement in the appearance of my skin texture.

I also changed something else along the way. At first, I used a generic conductive gel, but I didn’t like having to wash it off afterward. I eventually switched to NuFACE’s skincare products because I wanted something I could leave on my skin as part of my nighttime routine.

That was simply a personal preference, and I can’t say that changing the gel was responsible for any of the results I’ve noticed.

What I Like About the NuFACE Trinity+

What I like most is having several treatments in one system. I can use the main microcurrent attachment, switch to the eye and lip attachment, and also use the red light without having three separate devices. It’s simple, and after several months of regular use, I haven’t had any problems with the device or attachments.

The battery has been another pleasant surprise. I’ve never counted exactly how many sessions I get from one charge, but I can use it many times before I feel like it needs charging. I usually charge it before it gets too low because I don’t want to stop halfway through my routine.

I also really like the NuFACE skincare products. They absorb into my skin without leaving it sticky, and I can leave them on afterward.

But what really keeps me using the Trinity+ is seeing gradual changes myself. My nasolabial folds look softer, and my pores and skin texture look less noticeable than before.

What I Don’t Love (Limitations)

I really don’t have many complaints about the Trinity+, but there are a few things to consider.

The full routine takes time. I use mine two to three times a week, and some nights I’m simply too tired to do the whole thing, so I leave it for the next day. For me, consistency definitely requires some discipline.

The price also made me think twice. I had already spent more than a month using a cheaper microcurrent device without seeing the improvement I hoped for. Spending considerably more on the Trinity+ wasn’t an easy decision because I had no idea if this time would be different.

The other frustration I had was with the app. At first, I loved choosing different guided treatments and following along in real time. Later, I had trouble connecting my device. NuFACE told me they were experiencing platform issues at the time and suggested their YouTube videos instead. They were an option, but for me, it wasn’t nearly as convenient as choosing a treatment directly in the app.

Is the NuFACE Trinity+ Complete Worth It?

If I could go back to April knowing what I know now, I would buy the Trinity+ Complete again. The difference is that I wouldn’t think about it nearly as much. I’ve now seen gradual changes in my own skin, so I know what the investment has meant for me.

I had previously spent around $1,500 on about 10 spa sessions hoping to improve my skin, and I didn’t see the changes I was looking for. Later, I spent roughly $600 on the Trinity+ Complete. My experience has been different, and I’ve been happy with the gradual improvements I’ve noticed.

I think it’s a good option for someone who enjoys taking care of her skin at home and is willing to be consistent. That’s important. If you don’t like routines or expect a dramatic change after a few uses, I would think carefully before spending this much.

The price made me hesitate at first. Today, I feel differently. For me, it was money well spent on something I actually use and enjoy as part of taking care of myself.

NuFACE Trinity Plus FAQ

How long does it take to see NuFACE Trinity results?

I bought my Trinity+ Complete in April and have generally used it two to three times a week. In my case, it took about two months before I started noticing gradual changes.

My expression lines didn’t disappear, but they began looking softer. I also noticed less dryness in the morning and that my pores and uneven texture looked less noticeable. That’s simply been my experience, and everyone’s results and timing can be different.

What’s included with the NuFACE Trinity+ Complete Set?

My kit included the Trinity+ device, main facial trainer, eye and lip attachment, red light attachment, Hydrating Aqua Gel Activator, Firming + Brightening Silk Crème, applicator brush, and USB-C charging cable. Mine did not include a wall adapter.

I covered each of these in more detail earlier in the review.

How often should you use the NuFACE Trinity+?

NuFACE recommends using the device at least five minutes a day, five days a week, during the first 60 days. After that, the brand recommends two to three times per week for maintenance.

My schedule didn’t allow me to follow the five-day routine. I used mine about two to three times a week from the beginning and started noticing gradual changes at around the two-month mark.

Is the NuFACE red light attachment worth using separately?

NuFACE instructs users to use the red light attachment on clean, dry skin for three minutes per treatment area before applying the Activator and moving on to micro-current.

I normally use mine as part of my complete routine rather than as a separate treatment. Because I use all the attachments together consistently, I can’t honestly say which of my results came specifically from the red light.

Final Thoughts

I’ve had my Trinity+ Complete since April, using it two to three times a week. What I value most is that I finally found an at-home skincare routine I enjoy and have been able to stick with.

My expression lines haven’t disappeared, but they look softer to me. I’ve also noticed improvements in the appearance of my pores and skin texture, along with less morning dryness.

This was a significant purchase for me, and I thought about it a lot before spending the money. After several months of using it, I’m happy I made that decision, and I would buy it again.

It’s not something I’d buy expecting a transformation after a few sessions. But if you enjoy taking care of your skin and are willing to be consistent, I can say that my own experience has made the investment worthwhile for me.
